The author is Christopher C. Horner, Senior Fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. I found it Barnes and Noble right next to Al Gore's book, "An Inconvenient Truth." Horner's book is a New York Times BESTSELLER that makes Al's book look like "An Inconvenient Lie to Perpetrate a Monstrous Scam." Unlike Al's book, Horner's book is thoroughly documented and supported by leading scientists. You owe it to yourself to read it. "Future generations will wonder in bemused amazement that the early twenty-first century's developed world went into hysterical panic over a globally averaged temperature increase of a few tenths of a degree, and, on the basis of gross exaggerations of highly uncertain computer projections combined into implausible chains of inference, proceded to contemplated the roll-back of the industrial age. "Chris Horner takes us through this story, including fascinating investigations into the role of major industries and the muzzling of science, withe verve, humor, and a genuine concern for accuracy. His descriptions will provoke laughter as well a recognition that tears are more in order. -- Dr. Richard S. Lindzen, Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Atmospheric Sciences, MIT: Member of the National Academy of Sciences; and formenr lead author, UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. -Ray Wells ('54) **************************************************************** **************************************************************** >>From: Gary Behymer ('64) Festering pools of spite form The Sandbox... there are no winners just a bag of 'dirt' to be slung around until someone gets their feelings hurt. Let's leave well enough alone and allow our friends at ABC, CBC, NBC & Fox to continue their fine job of 'anti-this' and 'anti-that' or 'for-this' and 'for-that.' At my age I can't make up my own mind so I need someone to tell me who to vote for and which scientist is right or wrong. Salute! "We are but a moments sunlight Fading in the grass C'mon people now, Smile on your brother Ev'rybody get together Try and love one another right now." -Youngbloods ***** -Gary Behymer ('64) **************************************************************** **************************************************************** >>From: Donna Fredette ('65) To the last two Bombers who reported their "facts" on Global Warming. Like, Oh my God, Uh, Ok then like ok then. I know! Bomber Cheers! -Donna Fredette ('65) ****************************************************************
